Fashion Week Day 1
What a way to start the first day of fashion week!! Alice McCall never fails to deliver a playful and eclectic collection, one that particularly shines when seen on the runway.
Luxe ostrich feathers floated across the runway, seen on the trim of dresses, sleeves, jackets and even belt bags and clutches! True to Alice McCall’s signature style, sheer panelling with embroidery and delicate embellishments highlighted the show.
Alice herself looked chic in a metallic long sleeve mini dress, spotted with her family post show. All in all it was a very well done show, clearly executed by a seasoned pro.
Luxe relaxed tailoring and tonal outfits created beautiful feminine shapes across the runway. The jewellery was a highlight, with bold structural earrings by Aussie favourite, Dinosaur Designs.
Their collection was shown on site amongst an array of colourful, fruity, Barcelona themed display. The shapes that Pared Eyewear are known for where debuted in fun pops of bright colour. Brilliant blues, orange lenses, red, pinks, greens, this is the label for you if you want to have some fun with your eyewear!
Pared also debuted their first jewellery collection. Gold-plated silver hoops had super fun palm trees hanging from them, made out of the same acetates that make their sunglasses. Amongst the jewellery were lanyards for your eyewear made with white or orange beads, or a gold chain.
Ed and Sam, the label’s designers, were there holding down the fort with their bright infectious energy that is also seen in their eyewear. They made sure their buyers left healthier than they started, giving away woven beach bags, vitamins and fresh fruit to their buyers.
Set in the beautiful venue of La Port Deux, Albus Lumen presented a show of beautiful and luxurious coastal wear. Set to ethereal music, natural models walked barefoot from room to room around the venue, giving the audience an intimate look at the collection.
It’s always great to see a really strong menswear collection amongst the womenswear dominated fashion week, and Justin Cassin delivered. With a backdrop of rock n roll music and moody lighting, was a collection of tailored jacket, long shirts, comfy suit pants, and paneled hoodies with oversized hoods. Model of the moment Jordan Barrett closed a great show of street wear and formal wear.
An eclectic show with a mixture of high fashion pieces and more wearable everyday pieces. Featuring fine and artistic jewellery by Holly Ryan.
From ex-Ksubi creatives, the debut Double Rainbouu show was much-anticipated at fashion week. Hawaiian shirt clad models began the show wheeling around shopping trolleys with speakers playing music. As they did a lap of the runway, one by one they landed in the middle making for the party-shirt squad of your dreams.
